Naoko Kobayashi of Kennewick is originally from Japan, where many of her family and friends live. Though her loved ones are OK after the earthquake and tsunami, Kobayashi is now organizing a fundraiser based on the Japanese tradition of folding origami paper cranes for people in hospitals.
